'Bob Marley: One Love' biopic trailer examines reggae icon beyond the marijuana and music
The teaser trailer for biopic Bob Marley: One Love is here, paying tribute to the beloved reggae icon and examining his life beyond his carefree portrayal in pop culture.
Though it purports to only be a teaser trailer, the three-minute long video offers a decent look at the Kingsley Ben-Adir as Marley, dealing with fans, paparazzi — and an assassination attempt. Bob Marley: One Love appears to touch on Marley's Pan-African advocacy and progressive social views, features of his life that are arguably less well-remembered now than his music and support for legalising marijuana.
The film also features Lashana Lynch as Marley's wife Rita, as well as James Norton, Tosin Cole, Anthony Welsh, Michael Gandolfini, Umi Myers, and Nadine Marshall.
