Only a week after K-pop queens Blackpink smashed records on YouTube, BTS has gone and overtaken them.

The video for the band's latest earworm, "Boy With Luv," which features singer Halsey, is the most viewed music video debut in YouTube history, a company spokesperson confirmed to Mashable.

The pastel colour-heavy video, which debuted on Apr. 14, earned 74.6 million views in its first 24 hours. It eclipses the record previously set by Blackpink for "Kill This Love," which had 56.7 million views within a day — this surpassed Ariana Grande's "thank u, next," at 55.4 million one-day views.

"Boy With Luv" is also the fastest music video to hit 100 million views, reaching the milestone in under 2 days. It's a record also previously set by Blackpink.

The YouTube records cap off a big week for BTS, with the release of their EP Map of the Soul: Persona, plus a highly-coveted appearance on Saturday Night Live.

BTS are also set to perform alongside Halsey at the Billboard Music Awards on May 1, and gathering from their previous appearances at award shows, it's going to be another big moment for a band who show no signs of stopping.
