You'll have to see the movie if you want to know how Captain America: Civil War turns out, but #TeamCap beat #TeamIronMan in the only battle that matters: The one at the box office.

Captain America: Civil War's estimated $181.8 million opening is the biggest so far in 2016 and the fifth-biggest opening weekend box office of all time. The previous fifth place record-holder was Iron Man 3, with $174 million.

The $181.8 million opening also puts Civil War ahead of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which took in $166 million during its first weekend. It was a huge opening for Warner Bros., though BvS failed to plant the landing in subsequent weeks as poor word-of-mouth and dismal reviews contributed to steep drop-offs at the box office.

Disney estimates a weekend total of $401.8 million for Civil War globally. The third Captain America film opened internationally last weekend in nine major foreign markets and close to 30 smaller ones. Its cumulative global total now stands at roughly $678.4 million.

It was a great weekend Disney, which occupies the top two positions in the weekend's domestic box office earnings. Trailing far behind Civil War in its fourth week of release is The Jungle Book, with an estimated $21.9 million.

The live-action adaptation is starting to slow down after weeks two and three saw minimal drop-offs -- 40% and 29%, respectively -- in viewership. This week's 50% drop-off is the movie's biggest to date, though that's to be expected with Civil War officially kicking off the summer blockbuster season.

The Jungle Book is doing fine. It's pulled in roughly $285 million domestically since it opened on Apr. 15, and more than $776 million internationally. It's 2016's third-highest worldwide earner so far, behind only Disney's Zootopia ($956.4 million) and Warner Bros. Batman v Superman ($865.5 million).

The box office weekend tails off significantly after Jungle Book. Mother's Day is in the #3 spot with an estimated $9 million. That's actually an 8% increase over last week, when it debuted, though that's hardly a surprise during the Mother's Day "holiday" weekend.

The Huntsman: Winter's War ($3.6 million) and Key & Peele comedy Keanu ($3.1 million) occupy the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
