Cat dumped with litter box on NYC street gets a second chance
After a long search, a NYC cat named Nostrand that was dumped on the street has been rescued.
An abandoned cat was spotted last week in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn, left on the curb with his litter box and cat supplies, according to a Facebook post from local cat advocate group FAT Cats.
Someone snapped a photo of Nostrand, but unfortunately it was startled by city workers.

So the search was on, and four days after the cat was last seen, former cat rescuer Karen Oh spotted Nostrand in her back yard.
FAT Cats rushed Nostrand to the vet to be screened and microchipped. Fortunately, he was in good health, but the vet did not find a microchip.
The volunteer group is currently contacting people who offered to foster or adopt Nostrand, but they are accepting donations to pay for his expenses on its Facebook page.
