But please do not give up on love. Love is far from dead. It's very much alive, blossoming within the thousands of other high-profile power couples in the world we can look up to in awe. Here are six beams of light and love to turn to during the dark days ahead.

British royalty David and Victoria Beckham have been married since 1999 and together even longer than that. The football star and former Spice Girl (both heavily working in fashion now) have four children together—kids that aren't afraid to sometimes have fun with their parents from time to time. While they're private life has been kept mostly hidden from the limelight, they are quick to tell the press that they are happy and thriving. "I'm really lucky to absolutely love what I do and for things to be going so well and to have such a great family..." Victoria recently told press.

Hope and love still exists out there, everyone.
