Chance the Rapper concluded an emotional ESPYS award show Wednesday night with a musical tribute to late boxing icon Muhammad Ali.

The rapper performed an original track in Ali's honor, interspliced with recorded quotes — including his famously thought-provoking monologue about his retirement plans.

He was joined onstage by fellow musician and bandmate Donnie Trumpet, as well as Jamila Woods, Teddy Jackson and Peter CottonTale for the performance.

On Twitter, Chance also posted a pre-show video of a therapeutic dance session alongside Steph Curry. "Besides praying this is the best way to prep for a big moment," he wrote.

And after the ceremony aired, Chance expressed his thanks. "[The performance] was an honor. Rest in peace, Muhammad Ali," he wrote. "He is in a much better place."
