Chance the Rapper has hit out at Heineken for an ad he's dubbed "terribly racist."

The Chicago star took to Twitter on Sunday to slam the commercial for Heineken's light beer, which features the product's tagline, "Sometimes lighter is better."

"I think some companies are purposely putting out racist ads so they can get more views," he tweeted on Sunday.

It's one in a series of ads for Heineken's light beer, featuring the tagline, "Sometimes lighter is better." Here's the ad:

Some on Twitter sided with Chance, while others thought the ad wasn't intentionally racist.

Chance isn't one to let a hint of racist representation fly in popular culture — the rapper called out Netflix's Will Smith-starring blockbuster Bright for its "shallow" depiction of America's racism through mythical creatures.

Mashable has reached out to Heineken for comment.
