Step Up fans, the dream is over.

Hollywood stars and Lip Sync Battle favourites Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum are separating after nine years of marriage.

The couple posted their co-written statements to their individual Twitter accounts. About their conscious uncoupling, the pair said they have "lovingly chosen to separate as a couple." The statement was also published by People.

Dissolving tabloid speculation about their separation, Tatum and Dewan wrote, "There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible."

Married in 2009, the pair first met as all-time dynamic screen dance duo Tyler Gage and Nora Clark on the set of 2006's Step Up, which you should watch immediately because that last dance sequence is fire and is screen-DJed by Mario, people.

Aside from their own solo film, television and dance careers, together Tatum and Dewan were two of the best Lip Sync Battle stars the world's ever seen.

Neva4get this:

Tatum and Dewan have a four-year-old daughter, Everly, together, and wrote in their statement, "We are still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents."

Needless to say, fans on Twitter have lost their damn minds.
