The U.S. has a major cheese surplus and we ain't mad about it
Americans sure know how to say, "cheese."
While you may think you're already doing your American duty by eating more cheese than is responsible, it's time to do more for your country.

According to Bloomberg, the U.S. is sitting on a 1.2 billion pound stockpile of cheese. This is the largest amount of cheese we've had in the country since 1984.
More than half the supply consists of American cheese alone, meaning there is about 600,000 pounds of the stuff just hanging out, waiting to be consumed.
Apparently, Bloomberg says the European Union is to blame, as they've become a huge player in the cheese market thanks to a weakened Euro and cheaper dairy prices. Now Americans have a bunch of cheese that's all dressed up -- probably in ranch dressing -- with nowhere to go.
While the surplus is not good news for dairy farmers or exporters, it's great for citizens who need an excuse to fill their refrigerators and heart valves with even more cheese than they already do.
Do your part. Eat more cheese.
