It's up to Chester Bennington's family to decide whether the Carpool Karaoke episode he starred in will run, James Corden said.

"We consider it to be not our decision to make. We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes they would want because, there's no, I don’t think there’s any other way we could deal with it, really. That’s it," Corden told the Associated Press. "It’s completely up to them and that’s a conversation we haven’t even thought about having right now because I think it’s really important that we, you know, it’s a tragedy.”

The 41-year-old Linkin Park singer had filmed an episode of Apple Music's Carpool Karaoke shortly before his death in July.

Bennington's widow, Talinda, tweeted her thanks to Corden and the show itself in two separate posts after the statement came out Tuesday. Apple's version of the show, which first aired Tuesday night, is a spin-off from the popular Late Late Show with James Corden segment.

The kind gesture wasn't lost on others, either.

Bennington died by suicide in July. Since his death, Linkin Park canceled its "One More Light" world tour, and other shows it had planned.
