Someone threw these cute chickens on a train carriage then fled into the night

They were named Betty and Mumbles.

Is Borat still inspiring people to do dumb sh*t more than ten years on?

When an unknown passenger threw two chickens on to a packed train in Sydney, Australia, before fleeing on Wednesday, it seemed a lot like an act of absurdist comedy. But it's a mystery really.

The chickens, which appeared to be a white silky and Rhode Island red, were left hanging on the floor of the carriage until two nice people picked them up and took them to train staff.

"He just dumped them," an unnamed woman holding one of the chickens told 7 News.

While not as chaotic, is certainly shares some similarities to THAT Borat scene.

Named Betty and Mumbles, the lost pair were returned home on Thursday morning. They did, however, look very cute sitting in a box in the stationmaster's office.

Naww. Best of luck to you, Betty and Mumbles.
