Inspect this drawing of Ironman. You might think it's a pencil sketch at first, but look closer and you'll realise that it's actually an artwork made out of shorn hair.

Wang Xiaojiu, is a hairdresser in Jilin city, China, and for the past few months, he's made a habit of creating hair art with strands left behind on the salon's floor.

According to China Daily, Wang thought it was a pity to just sweep the hair up and dump it, so he decided to have some fun.

Using a card and hair brush as his tools, Wang forms shapes and lines with the hair strands. He says it usually takes him up to two hours to complete each portrait.

Wang has since created portraits of Ironman, Wolverine, late action superstar Bruce Lee, and Chinese mythological figure Monkey God.

After completing each artwork, Wang snaps a pic, then sweeps the hair up to keep the salon clean.

"When sweeping it away, I do feel hurt," he says.
