When 30-year-old Wang Yong spotted a 2-year-old boy hanging outside of a building on Monday, he didn't hesitate to climb five floors to rescue the toddler.

Wang, who is a construction worker in Sichuan, China, lives in the same building as the boy.

Like a real-life Spider-Man, Wang expertly scaled the building without a care for his own safety to help the boy who was trapped between the security bars of the windows. According to local reports, the boy had gotten himself stuck after climbing out onto the balcony when he was left unattended by his parents.

However, after saving the boy, Wang found himself stuck with no way of getting his leg freed from the bars.

The local fire department was despatched to safely get him down, reported People's Daily.

Throughout the ordeal, a woman believed to be Wang's wife, held his hand through the bars to keep him calm. When the firefighters arrived, they used bed sheets to secure Wang to the window to prevent him from falling, while they cut the bars.

It took around 30 minutes for the firefighters to free Wang, and the embarrassed hero-turned-victim quickly left the scene without speaking to reporters.

In our eyes, Wang should be proud of his bravery. Even superheroes need to be rescued sometimes!
