Chrissy Teigen's dad had the most dad-like response to John Legend's Emmy nod

Celebrities: they're just like us. Chrissy Teigen's dad acts just like a dad.

When Teigen texted her dad, Ron, to tell him about John Legend's Emmy nominations, he responded in the most clueless fatherly way possible.

"John got two emmy nominations for Jesus Christ," Teigen told her dad, referring to Legend's performance in Jesus Christ Superstar. "He will probably get the EGOT!"

An EGOT is the holy grail of performance awards. If you get to claim the esteemed EGOT title, it means you've received an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award, so it's a pretty big deal. The list of people who've landed all four awards is small, and includes legends like Whoopi Goldberg and Audrey Hepburn.

Teigen's dad breezed right past her announcement to tell her something that was clearly more exciting than winning one of the most coveted titles in the entire entertainment industry.

He didn't have any blank thumb drives, but he had a 32 GB micro SD card.

One of Teigen's followers asked if he could have the SD card -- after all, they are expensive.

"I just spent all my money on John's wine pls the card would help so much," he said.
