CNBC's Trump tweet alert is a new level of absurd
The last week has been a next-level version of the fever dream that was the 2016 presidential campaign, and now CNBC has added another dose of absurdity to the mix.
In the age of "alternative facts," "mazel tov cocktails," and nine-person news panels, maybe we shouldn't be surprised by anything anymore. But CNBC's new graphic for alerting viewers to the latest Trump tweets takes us further down the ring of fire.

Anyone knows the dread that comes with wondering what Trump will tweet next. It's the cold sinking feeling that drops in the pit of your stomach any time your phone is bombarded by dozens of alerts for whatever Trump just tweeted about: The Wall, China, maybe even... you.

Now CNBC has tapped into the darkest reaches of our souls and come up with the graphic that best visualizes that dread.
It's going to be a long (at least) four years.
