CNN is fed up with Donald Trump and his "alternative facts."

On Tuesday evening, the tremendously mature POTUS reignited his obsession with bashing CNN by offering his two cents on the news network's inauguration ratings.

This time, however, CNN's Public Relations department wasn't having it, and it delivered a swift fact check and effective Twitter burn that is sure to add more fuel to this political dumpster fire.

Trump used his Twitter fingers to congratulate "real" news station, Fox News, for "being number one in inauguration ratings," claiming the station's ratings were "many times higher than FAKE NEWS CNN."

He ended his mini-rant by declaring, "public is smart!," but CNN shut down that tweet in a hot second.

"According to Nielsen cumulative numbers, 34 million people watched CNN's inauguration day coverage on television. 34 million watched Fox News," CNN Communications tweeted at Trump. The tweet went on to explain that not only were television views exceptional, but there were an additional "16.9 million live video starts on CNN Digital platforms." Ooooof.

"Those are the facts," CNN wrote to conclude its digital mic drop. 🔥

A representative from CNN confirmed to Mashable that the tweet was sent from CNN PR's Twitter account, and though the publication had no further comment, the tweet has not yet been deleted. In fact, it is currently proudly pinned to the top of the account's page.

Trump's inauguration audience has been a widely debated topic over the past week after press secretary Sean Spicer defended Trump's claim that he had the largest inauguration audience ever... despite the fact that "no one had numbers" yet.

While Trump is convinced CNN is all about that "fake news," even Fox News anchor Shepard Smith has come to the network's defense.

This. Is. Real. *sighhhhhh*
