The first-ever IHOP-Applebee's is coming to make food dreams come true
Many Americans experience supreme difficulty deciding between Applebee's or IHOP.
Fortunately, Detroit has a solution: the first-ever combination IHOP/Applebee's restaurant will open in 2017.
As reported by The Detroit Free Press, the restaurant will be located in the Millender Building in the city's downtown and cater towards people working in the area or tourists staying in nearby hotels.
While that's likely going to be the case, knowing both of these restaurants, the tables will also be filled with teenagers.
The 300-seat restaurant will employ around 100 people. This wise business decision originated in the declining sales of both chains, but fear not -- together, they will be strong.
This restaurant will be the first of its kind, but it makes so much sense that we hope they'll come to other cities, too. Think about it: this combination restaurant has the potential to unseat the current champ of freaky combinations, which is indisputably Pizza Hut/Taco Bell.
Time will tell if this one's going to be good enough to get its own song.
They have yet to reveal the menu, but here are some dream combos that may soon become a reality:
-Big steak omelette and spinach dip -French toast and mozzarella sticks -Strawberry banana pancakes and onion rings -IHOP waffle with Applebee's chicken tenders
In the meantime, you'll just have to get some takeout pancakes and sneak them into Applebee's.
