Did you get yourself a nice Christmas present? Maybe some new underwear or a set of scented candles?

Whatever it was, it pales in comparison to this giant white cube owned by the father of Twitter user Rumoko. Yes, a cube. He loves his cube and evidently, so does Twitter.

Rumoko, whose real name is Shaun Moriarty and is from Brisbane in Australia, posted photos of the monolithic cube on Monday. The tweet has since amassed tens of thousands of retweets and likes.

"My father has a cube (??) and has been taking pictures of it," Moriarty wrote.

People seem to really like this father and cube relationship.

As for the origins of the cube, it's made out of foam core board and was constructed on Sunday by Moriarty's dad, who lives in Bowral in the state of New South Wales.

"He just started posting photos of it to our family iMessage group with little to no context," Moriarty told Mashable via email.

But there was some purpose to the cube after all.

"He's a photographer and was going to use it to test the depth of field distortion of some of his lenses," Moriarty said.

"He didn't tell us that initially and until people started asking about it on Twitter I didn't think so ask -- just assumed he'd made or acquired a cube and wanted to show it off."

All hail the cube!
