'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' takes home the biggest prize at 2023 Anime Awards

Netflix's Cyberpunk: Edgerunners won Anime of the Year at Crunchyroll's 2023 Anime Awards. The ceremony took place in Tokyo and celebrated fan-favorite animes of the past year. The anime-dedicated streaming service has been hosting the Anime Awards since 2017.

Studio Trigger, known for Kill La Kill and their work on Star Wars: Visions, received critical acclaim for their adaption of CD-Projekt Red's action RPG Cyberpunk 2077. It also took home Best Voice Acting Performance (English). Other winners during the awards show include Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2 (including Best Drama and Best Opening), Spy x Family (Best Comedy, Best New Show), and Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (Best Film).
