Stream sport for less over the holidays — get DirecTV for just $50 in first-ever flash sale
SAVE $40: Through Jan. 6, DirecTV is holding its first-ever holiday flash sale. New customers can sign up for the DirecTV Signature Entertainment package for just $49.99 for their first month (reg. $89.99). Additionally, the MyKids with Disney+ and MyNews genre packs are $5 off for the first two months.
Just in time for one of the most content-heavy times of year, DirecTV is holding its first-ever holiday flash sale. If you want to ensure you don't miss out on college football bowl games, NFL playoffs, or all of those Hallmark holiday movies, now's the time to sign up for DirecTV's streaming package.
Through Jan. 6, new customers can get DirecTV's Signature Entertainment streaming package for only $49.99 for your first month (plus taxes and fees, of course). Your second and third month will then be $79.99 per month before reverting back to the full cost of $89.99 per month. That's about 45% off your first month of live TV, then 11% off for two additional months.
The Entertainment streaming package features over 90 channels, including ABC, FOX, CBS, ESPN, NBC, ESPN, FS1, SEC Network, ACC Network, and more for sports fans. Not to mention, Hallmark Channel, AMC, Freeform, and Lifetime are included for holiday movie enthusiasts. If you pay an extra $10 per month to lease a Gemini Air device (similar to a Fire Stick or Roku device) through DirecTV, you'll also get access to Disney+ and Hulu (with ads). Additionally, you'll get over 130 MyFree DirecTV channels, unlimited cloud DVR recordings, unlimited streams for unlimited screens, and special offers on premium networks like HBO Max and Paramount+.
On top of the Entertainment package deal, DirecTV's holiday flash sale also includes discounts on two of its genre packs: MyNews and MyKids with Disney+. Through Jan. 6, new customers can sign up for the MyNews genre pack for $34.99 per month for two months (reg. $39.99) or the MyKids genre pack for only $14.99 per month for two months (reg. $19.99).
The MyKids genre pack gets you 10+ family-friendly live TV channels, as well as access to Disney+. Meanwhile, MyNews features a handful of live TV channels that focus on breaking news and information, including CNN and Newsmax, as well as local networks like NBC and CBS. Both genre packs offer a free five-day trial, then your first two months at $5 off.
The flash sale won't last forever. Be sure to sign up by Jan. 6 to secure the discounts. If you recently cut the cord on cable and are missing live TV — or you just want to tune into the jam-packed sports and entertainment lineup during cozy season — DirecTV is one of the best options that resembles cable without the strings attached.
