Poor deer stuck in a plastic pumpkin was saved by some dedicated people

A deers head was stuck in a plastic pumpkin

When you think of worst case Halloween scenarios, getting trapped in a weird place would be somewhere at the top of your list.

Also, being a deer would make that a lot more uncomfortable.

So imagine being a deer and how frustrating and terrifying it must be to get your head stuck inside of a plastic halloween pumpkin. Unfortunately, that's just what happened. But there is a happy ending.

Aaron Meyerrenke posted videos and photos on Facebook yesterday of a deer stuck in that exact situation, which he called “The Great Pumpkin Chase.”

The poor deer was most likely confused and trying its best to set itself free.

Luckily a group came together in Anderson Township, Ohio, to try and help the deer. The group was eventually successful in removing the plastic pumpkin from the deer's head.

“After 2.5 hours of chasing this deer through thick and hilly woods tonight, we successfully got the pumpkin off its head. Glad it had a happy ending,” said Meyerrenke.

I can only imagine the struggle of trying to convince a deer that you’re trying to remove a weird plastic halloween decoration from its head. Deer tend to bolt off in the distance if you just breathe the wrong way.

Thankfully the group didn’t give up on the pumpkin deer, and we hope it had a happy Halloween.
