Say what you will about Demi Lovato, but she doesn't back away from a fight.

After daring to read internet comments on Tuesday responding to her critique of fan art and the body types of a certain squad, Lovato took to Twitter and announced an upcoming break from music and the spotlight.

With less than 140 characters and a truly shocking use of the wave emoji, Lovato bid goodbye to the haters, if only temporarily. She could also be tired from a year full of touring, but the fatigue over online backlash and excerpts from her Glamour interview likely didn't help.

Earlier this year, Lovato quit Twitter under similar circumstances, only to return a day later (she also, on this occasion, used the wave emoji). Despite the confident singer's fearlessness to speak her mind, she continues to be incensed by negative responses.
