SINGAPORE -- If you're shelling out $2 million for a meal, you'll want to make sure you're getting your money's worth.

And that's exactly what Singapore restaurant Ce La Vi and Russian diamond company World of Diamonds Group intend to do with their much-talked-about "world's most expensive dining experience."

During a media preview held at the rooftop of Marina Bay Sands on Wednesday, Mashable got up a taste of what the lucky couple would enjoy -- an 18-course degustation menu that will include caviar, oysters and pigeon paired with a range of expensive wines and champagnes.

Here's the clincher: the couple would be tucking into their meal with personalised diamond studded chopsticks worth $17,000 per pair.

According to World of Diamonds Group, these gold-plated chopsticks are set with 4-carat round diamonds and are once again "the world's most expensive chopsticks."

So exquisite are these chopsticks that we had to put on leather gloves to pick them up to prevent finger prints or unfortunate scratches. Throughout, there was even a hawk-eyed security guard hovering around us.

The decadent meal is meant to end on a high note when the couple gets presented with a towering croquembouche dessert and a 2-carat blue diamond ring in rose-gold dubbed "The Jane Seymour" that they'll take home together with both pairs of chopsticks.

The ring, which was named after the actress, has reportedly received "substantial interest" from prospective buyers before the tie-up with Ce La Vi. Blue diamonds have been known to be auctioned off at over $2 million.

Although both companies have yet to say when and how the winners of this once-in-a-lifetime experience will be selected, Karan Tilani, the head of Asia for World of Diamonds Group, has confirmed that the winning couple will decide on when the dinner will be held. And for that night, Ce La Vi will be closed just so the couple can dine in complete privacy.
