The internet did not have the time of their lives watching the 'Dirty Dancing' remake

A whole lotta NOPE.

In 2017, let's agree on one thing: no more remakes. Please.

For some unknown reason, the original masterpiece known as Dirty Dancing wasn't cool enough for a modern audience, so ABC green lit a TV movie remake starring Abigail Breslin as Frances "Baby" Houseman and Colt Prattes as Johnny Castle.

While ABC probably had the best of intentions for this remake, the internet did not appreciate the new movie's casting, subplots, or cinematic storytelling. Twitter users dragged the movie throughout its premiere with hilarious and savage jokes.

Here's a tip for any studio that is thinking about remaking an old, iconic movie: don't.
