Donald Glover fans have taken over a Donald Trump subreddit to praise their one, true Donald

It's a classic case of Donald vs. Donald.

You'd be hard pressed to find someone who confuses Donald Glover with Donald Trump.

The two, though both wildly famous, thankfully don't have much in common besides their first name — until now. Now, they share a subreddit. Kind of.

Over the weekend, Reddit's r/thedonald suffered quite the identity crisis when a rogue band of internet trolls decided that the community needed a makeover. What began as sub built to share news and thoughts about Trump was uncovered by fans of Glover, who took it upon themselves to spam the page with all things related to the actor, comedian, and musician.

Though r/thedonald should not to be mistaken for the much larger, far more notorious Reddit community r/the_donald, it does currently have 16,000 subscribers. And they are all probably pretty annoyed.

The great coup of /r/thedonald was spotted by journalist Cooper Fleishman who tweeted his findings on Tuesday with a screenshot of what was being posted on the page.

If you scroll through /r/thedonald, you'll see posts about the music video for "This Is America," memes quoting Childish Gambino lyrics, and a lot more. Some posts have vague enough titles to make you question which Donald is really being discussed.

The takeover seems to have begun on Monday, and it doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon.

The only moderator of the subreddit hasn't been active on the site for 20 days. According to Reddit, if a sub doesn't have a moderator sign on for 60 consecutive days, it's considered abandoned. Should that happens with r/thedonald, Glover fans can petition to officially takeover the community once and for all.
