Public figures are calling Trump out on his "thin skin," a sensitivity to criticism that they feel runs counter to the First Amendment. Other critics, including Chrissy Teigen, noticed Trump's call for the theater to be a "safe and special place," an ironic request considering conservatives' consistent opposition to political correctness, including the term "safe space."
Still others pointed out Trump's tweets as a potential way to shift discussion from his Trump University fraud case, which he settled for $25 million on Friday, and his controversial staff appointments.
