Donald Trump will sit for an interview with Megyn Kelly
Megyn Kelly has been one of the few people that has been able to go toe-to-toe with Donald Trump during the 2016 election cycle.
Now, she's going to be face-to-face.
Trump will sit for an interview with Kelly that is slated to air during a special on May 17. The appearance will be Trump's first with Kelly since the two publicly quarreled following the first Republican presidential debate, hosted on Fox News with Kelly as a moderator.

The interview will be part of a larger program entitled "Megyn Kelly Presents" that will include other guests.
Kelly confirmed her recent private meeting with Trump in which she was able to convince him to do an interview.
"Mr. Trump and I sat down together for a meeting earlier this month at my request. He was gracious with his time and I asked him to consider an interview. I am happy to announce he has agreed, and I look forward to a fascinating exchange — our first sit-down interview together in nearly a year," Kelly said in a press release.
Kelly and Trump have been quarreling from almost the first moments of the campaign, when Kelly asked Trump about the language he used toward women.
Since then, the two have sparred in public through intermediaries. A little more than a month ago, Trump had called for a boycott of Kelly's show.

The interview is a major get for Kelly, who has been one of the brightest stars of the election.
Kelly is also coming up on contract talks with Fox News, and has already made public comments that have questioned whether she will stay at the company.
With the Trump interview, there's little doubt that the special will garner a big audience, pushing Kelly even further into the public consciousness.

As for Trump, the interview could be a chance to make nice with one of the most visible women in the election cycle, just as his campaign looks to change its focus from conservative voters to the moderates that he will need to win the presidency.
Trump has already told Republican party elders that he will look to soften his image and appeal to mainstream voters.
