Turns out that Donald Trump doesn't really like Twitter -- and it's the media's fault

Who would have thought that President-elect Donald Trump, who has made headlines with his rants, fights, spelling errors and wrong mentions on Twitter actually dislikes the social network?

It would seem like biting the hand that feeds you, considering that he has 20 million followers.

But that's exactly what Trump said during an interview on Fox News' Fox & Friends:

"I don't like tweeting," Trump said. "I have other things I could be doing. But I get very dishonest media, very dishonest press. And it's my only way that I can counteract."

He mentioned as an example his recent spat on Twitter with civil rights hero John Lewis, who said he would not attend Trump's inauguration on Friday. In the Fox interview, Trump kept criticizing Lewis, saying the Congressman "lied" when he said he's never skipped an inauguration.

Lewis' office acknowledged that he missed George W. Bush's ceremony in 2001.

"So he got caught and it's pretty bad. So let's see what happens," Trump said.

"If the press were honest, which it's not, I would absolutely not use Twitter. I wouldn't have to."

Recent reports seem to have finally settled the question of where Trump will tweet once he's in the White House.

NBC News reporter Kelly O'Donnell reports that transition officials say that while the administration will take control of the @POTUS account, Trump himself will stick to tweeting from his personal account.
