Doug Jones' gay son sentences Mike Pence to life in side-eye prison

Yesterday was a historic moment for side-eye -- and, you know, the state of Alabama or whatever.

Democrat Doug Jones was sworn in Wednesday by Vice President Mike Pence, making him Alabama's first Democratic Senator in 25 years. Alongside the newly minted senator was his son, Carson Jones, who is gay. During the swearing in, Carson delivered some seriously harsh side-eye to our infamously anti-gay vice president.

There will be no chance of probation or parole in Carson Jones' prison of judgment.

Yes, it's possible we lowly internet people are just projecting our own incredibly spiteful feelings onto Jones. This photo could have just captured him at an awkward moment. It's entirely likely that Jones was looking to the side for non-political reasons, and Mike Pence just happened to look like the dissociated potato he always does.

Nah, that's too boring an explanation. Let's take our revenge fantasies and present them formally as fact.
