Dubai is on a roll.

The city is planning all kinds of new tourist experiences: a multi-billion dollar theme park, an extravagant skyscraper infinity pool, and now a nail-biting, adrenaline-pumping ledge walk.

The AYKON Dare will start at the 79th floor dining room, inviting visitors to step out onto a ledge overlooking Dubai.

They will then be harnessed in and secured to a safety rail before ascending the rooflines to 360-degree, panoramic views on the 80th floor. At the top, visitors will step out onto the glass-floored "viewing capsule" for death-defying views.

The hour-long experience takes place completely outside the hotel's walls, and is meant to let visitors mimic "the feeling of walking in the air" — while constantly bearing in mind that the drop down is 935 feet.

The tourist attraction is part of a six-skyscraper mini-city known as AYKON City. It will include office space, luxury apartments and a hotel.

Construction starts this summer and is expected to be completed in 2021. So we've all got five years to work up the courage to go.
