Andrew Bernhard had to say goodbye to his beloved cat, Little Andrew, who was a part of his family for 15 and a half years.
In Bernhard's post on Reddit, he wrote that Little Andrew rested his little paw on his owners' hands on the long, last drive to the vet where Little Andrew would eventually be put to sleep.

We're choking back tears just looking at this picture. Little Andrew had been diagnosed with an illness and was struggling from day-to-day.
"He was by my side for a long time and just had been running out of gas. He wasn’t eating or drinking, stopped purring, and just wasn’t himself. It would’ve been selfish to keep him just because I didn’t want to lose him," Bernhard told Buzzfeed.
Many other Redditors sent their condolences to Bernhard.
Apparently, Little Andrew was an affectionate cat who was always purring and sitting in people's laps, so putting his paws out wasn't too big of a surprise. Still, the significance of the moment wasn't lost on Bernhard.
Bernhard raised Little Andrew since the cat was just a little kitten, so the two had been through a lot together.
