Ed Sheeran's 2017 is shaping up quite nicely -- he just made Billboard history by becoming the first to have two songs debut in the Hot 100 Top 10.

"Shape of You" is the British singer's first song to hit the top slot of the Billboard Hot 100 and "Castle On the Hill" is not far behind in the No. 6 spot.

Sheeran also crushed the Spotify charts.

"Shape of You" was the most popular track in a single week ever with 52,359,013 plays, per a press release, kicking Drake's "One Dance" off of the throne. It's also Spotify's strongest track debut -- the record was previously held by Adele's "Hello."

Keep looking out for cryptic clues on social media to figure out when Sheeran will release his highly anticipated third album.
