Oops.

Katy Perry may be single at the moment, but do you remember her two-year marriage to Russell Brand back in 2010?

Ellen clearly doesn't.

Perry appeared on her show on Tuesday to promote her new album, and the two played a game called "Will You Perry Me?" (basically Perry was shown a sequence of male celebrities side-by-side, and she had to pick which she preferred in each round).

Before the game started, though, there was a mildly awkward bit of conversation about marriage:

Oops. Luckily Ellen is awesome and managed to style the whole thing out, but in the wrong hands that could have been a total cringe-fest.

That clip was shared on Twitter on Tuesday, and it's since racked up over 1,500 retweets.

Here's the transcript of their conversation:

Katy Perry: "Do I have to get married... again?!"

Ellen: "You were not married."

KP: "I was. I was 25."

E: "Were you?"

KP: "Yeah, it's been a long time, honey. No wrinkles, no lines."

E: "To who?!"

KP: "His name was Russell Brand."

E: "Oh that's right, I forgot about Russell."

KP: "Remember, you gave me some wedding gifts on this show?"

E: "Yes I do."

KP: "Cool cool cool cool cool."

E: "That'll be cut out."
