He also met an 80-year-old tortoise, and a sleepy sloth.

Last week, Elmo concluded his big tour of Southeast Asia with a final stop in Singapore.

It was his first time here, and he made the stop for his #ShareTheLaughter campaign, which promotes kindness.

Naturally, the Singapore Zoo was a must-see for the three-and-a-half year old furry monster.

He started the morning off spending some time with the white rhinos, an endangered species originating in Africa.

He watched as the zookeeper fed one of the rhinos slices of honeydew, a favourite fruit of theirs.

Next up was Blossom, a reticulated python. While not venomous, they do bite, her keeper said.

Curled up around him, she was sniffing Elmo a little enthusiastically, when he decided it was time to move onto the next animal...

Like the giant tortoise!

This guy, Astove, is nearly 80-years-old. The Aldabra giant tortoise originates from the Seychelles, and is one of the largest land tortoises in the world.

To end his visit, Elmo hung out with a two-toed sloth at a separate enclosure for primates called the Fragile Forest.

The slow-moving mammal was munching on his carrots as his keeper, Tiara, told Elmo the sloth needs to move as slowly as possible to conserve energy.

What a day! Come back soon, Elmo.
