Presidential decorum be damned when your country's just won the World Cup.

French president Emmanuel Macron left his inhibitions at the door during the 2018 World Cup final on Sunday, spending the game delivering air punches like a kid post-Santa visit.

Beating Croatia 4-2, thanks in part to 19-year-old star Kylian Mbappé, France had plenty of reasons to cheer — and that's exactly what Macron did.

Here's the president flailing about in the official leader box at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, sitting alongside his wife Brigitte Macron, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, President of French Football Federation Noel Le Graet, and Russian president Vladimir Putin.

There were so many more moments during the game where Macron could be seen throwing presidential codes of behaviour to the wind and cheering like a banshee. Go team!

Macron appeared to be a good sport too, congratulating President of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic after the game.

During the award ceremony, Macron raised two victorious fists next to host president Vladimir Putin.

Macron cradled the head of France's coach Didier Deschamps during the ceremony. Cradled. In the rain.

Plus, the president casually dabbed backstage, seen in a video posted to Twitter by French player Benjamin Mendy.
