'Game of Thrones' reunion special is official -- but it won't be on HBO
Even though Season 8 has yet to release, we're already starting to say goodbye to the show that turned into a cultural phenomenon.
The Game of Thrones reunion special shot in Belfast during this last season's production, which brought back long-gone actors like Sean Bean (Ned Stark), will release exclusively as a DVD extra for a Season 1-8 box set. EW is also reporting that the set will release in 2019.
Conan O'Brien will be hosting, but not much else is confirmed about the other returning, dearly departed guests.
Aquaman's Jason Momoa was spotted partying with the cast, and reuniting with his sun and stars as Khal Drogo. But he's also been known just to visit with the cast.
There are plenty of other and even more devastating deaths than his over the course of the show. The world will never forget the Red Wedding, so here's hoping both the King in the North's Richard Madden and his mother Catelyn Stark, played by Michelle Fairley, grace us with their presence too.
Regardless, we'll all need a good theraputic reunion after the last six episodes of the series air in April.
