If you said Game of Thrones is a labyrinthine fantasy series in which it's hard to keep track of all the characters, you'd be right.

With Season 7 premiering this weekend, we decided it was time for a refresher on our favorite -- erm, most popular -- characters and where they left off...you know, in case you aren't mid-binge right at this moment.

Cersei Lannister

Location: King’s Landing

Also with: Jaime Lannister

Following the destruction of the Great Sept of Baelor – which wiped out the High Sparrow and most of the Tyrells, among many others – and the subsequent suicide of King Tommen, Cersei Lannister has been crowned Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. But something tell us this isn't gonna go well. Could Jaime be the valonqar ("little brother") that kills her, per Maggy's prophecy in the novels?

Daenerys

Location: Sailing across the Narrow Sea

Also with: Tyrion Lannister, Grey Worm, Missandei, Yara Greyjoy, Theon Greyjoy

Well, it's about damn time. After spending the past six seasons across the Narrow Sea from the main action, "The Winds of Winter" finally saw Daenerys and her entourage sailing to Westeros to reclaim the Iron Throne.

Jon Snow

Location: Winterfell

Also with: Sansa Stark, Littlefinger, Davos Seaworth

Having survived the Battle of the Bastards, (thanks to some last-minute help from Sansa, Littlefinger, and the Knights of the Vale), Jon Snow has been proclaimed the new King in the North. Because that worked out so well for Robb Stark last time, I guess.

Arya Stark

Location: Riverrun

Also with: The corpse of Walder Frey

Everyone's favorite pint-sized assassin is back in the Seven Kingdoms and apparently wasting no time crossing names off her kill list. She's last seen at Riverrun getting her revenge on Walder Frey, who helped orchestrate the Red Wedding that wiped out much of her family.

Bran Stark

Location: North of the Wall

Also with: Meera Reed

Bran is the Three-Eyed Raven now, and as such has just discovered that his presumed half-brother, Jon Snow, is really the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. Now the question is what he'll do – or what he even can do – with that information.

Olenna Tyrell

Location: Dorne

Also with: The Sand Snakes, Ellaria Sand, Varys

Margaery Tyrell, Loras Tyrell, and Mace Tyrell are all dead, leaving Olenna Tyrell as the last significant member of her house. She's stopped wasting time on tears and headed straight to Dorne to ally with Ellaria Sand and the Sand Snakes against the Lannisters. And who should show up to their little meeting but Varys. Hmm.

Samwell Tarly

Location: The Citadel

Also with: Gilly

Sam, Gilly, and her son have arrived at the Citadel, which means Sam's in nerd heaven right now. Look at all those books!

Brienne of Tarth

Location: Rowing away from Riverrun

Also with: Podrick Payne

Brienne and Podrick were last seen escaping the siege of Riverrun in a rowboat. Here's hoping their little boat trip goes a lot faster than Gendry's does. As far as we know, Robert's bastard is still rowing and has been since Season 3.

The White Walkers

Location: North of the Wall

Like #TeamDaenerys, these White Walkers take their time. They've slowly been heading toward the Seven Kingdoms for the last six seasons, and while they're not over the Wall yet, they're certainly closer than ever. In other words: shit's about to get real.
