Man arrested at Gatwick airport on terrorism offences
LONDON -- A man has been arrested at Gatwick airport for engaging in Syria-related terrorism offences, counter-terrorism police said Monday morning.
Officers from West Midlands counter-terrorism unit arrested the 24-year-old before boarding a flight at London Gatwick airport.

It's not clear whether the man belongs to the Islamic State (ISIS) group.
Police also said a 20-year-old woman was arrested at an address in West London on terrorism charges.
The two are being held at a police station in the West Midlands. Searches are also being carried out at two addresses in Birmingham.
"There was no risk to any passengers at Gatwick Airport or to the wider public in relation to these arrests," police said.
