College, coffee and famous last words: A first look at the 'Gilmore Girls' revival

These days, being a fan means getting very, very good at waiting. Whether you're refreshing your Netflix queue for the new season of Kimmy Schmidt, dodging spoilers for Game of Thrones, or marking your calendar for the third Avengers movie (if you can find a calendar for 2018), there's always something to look forward to. 

That's especially been the case since Netflix announced it's bringing back Gilmore Girls for a four-part revival. Since then, the streaming service has united the entire original cast (ahem -- most of it) for the big event. And now we've got our first look at what they're cooking up: The upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly includes a set visit and exclusive sneak peeks into the multi-movie reunion.

“You know how you finish college and you’re a few years older and you’re like, ‘I wish I could go do this now ‘cause I would appreciate it so much more and understand it and get more out of it’?" Lauren Graham told EW. "That’s the opportunity I have with this, and I appreciate every day that I’m here.”

Graham, her costars and creator Amy Sherman-Palladino discussed how it felt to work together again, following Gilmore's seventh and final season -- notorious for angering fans, primarily because it didn't include Sherman-Palladino as writer and showrunner.

Sherman-Palladino also reveals more about the final four words of the series -- words she penned years ago for the television show, but which never made it to the air. 

The April 15 issue of EW has all that and a cup of coffee for Gilmore Girls fans.
