Melissa McCarthy still won't be on Netflix's 'Gilmore Girls,' but is 'thrilled' it's happening
Sorry, Gilmore Girls fans: Sookie St. James really, truly isn't joining the revival.
Melissa McCarthy tells E! that she actually wasn't asked to return -- but thinks that was a simple misunderstanding.
"I think they thought I was busy, and by the time it did come up, then I actually was booked," she says.

But hey, there's no hard feelings.
"I'm actually thrilled that it's happening," McCarthy added. "I loved that show."
Fans have been hoping that Sookie would make a surprise return to the miniseries after all, especially when this photo of McCarthy and Gilmore Girls star Yanic Truesdale, who played Michel, popped up on his Instagram page.
Like he said: Don't read anything into it.
