Netflix has found a star for its upcoming Carmen Sandiego movie: Gina Rodriguez.

Rodriguez will be starring as Carmen Sandiego in the upcoming live-action movie, The Hollywood Reporter wrote Monday, in addition to her role as the voice of the red-clad thief in Netflix's upcoming animated Carmen Sandiego series.

When the news first hit that the Jane the Virgin star would be voicing Carmen Sandiego, Rodriguez confirmed it by saying she already had Carmen's signature outfit: a red fedora and coat, which may have been a sign that she was willing to take the live-action role too.

On top of her two starring roles, Rodriguez will also be producing the live-action movie.

According to Deadline, the Carmen Sandiego feature will be a standalone adventure. If it's anything like the TV show, video games, and books that came before it in the '80s, '90s, and aughts, there will likely be a lot of mystery and a whole lot of traveling.

Along with the live-action movie, which has yet to sign a director or writer, and the animated series, the current owners of the Carmen Sandiego brand Houghton Mifflin Harcourt will also publish a series of books as a sort of reboot of the franchise.
