"I don't think my Grandma Alice thought we were serious when we asked her to be part of our big day," Voss wrote on her Facebook page, where she also shared several of her wedding photos to commemorate. "But she did not disappoint."

"She will always be the most graceful, intelligent and independent woman I know. I'm lucky to have her in my corner," she added.

Voss, a news anchor for WTOL in Toledo, told The Huffington Post that despite her busy schedule, she and Grandma Alice have always maintained a close relationship.
