Guinea pigs leap over 'lava’ in slow motion

Guinea pigs love to pretend that the floor is lava. At least these ones do.

Instagram account The Lava Empire, while sounding like a name from high fantasy, shows the adventures of guinea pigs Ella, Bella, Muffin, Phoebe, Puffy, Fluffy and Bianca. It's a big family.

The name seems to refer to the old "floor is lava" game, because all of the guinea pigs refuse to touch the stretch of floor between two rugs. So naturally, many of the videos are set here to show the little furballs as they leap magnificently from one rug to the other.
