Guy crying during an interview for his dream job teaches us a very important lesson

'Be raw, be vulnerable, be real."

If you, like us, love an incredibly moving story about LGBTQ representation in videogames and in general about the invaluable asset of always being your raw, vulnerable self, brace yourself.

Boon Cotter shared on a long Twitter thread his experience of breaking down crying during a job interview with Naughty Dog, the legendary company behind titles like Uncharted and The Last of Us.

It was his first time outside of Australia, and, safe to say, he was THRILLED about the interview though not massively confident about the outcome.

The interview started like many others, with questions on Cotter's last project and his motivations:

However, Cotter gave a very unconventional answer to the last question.

(One of the many great things about The Last of Us is the game's realistic, detailed, and accurate portrayal of seemingly secondary characters like Bill.)

Cotter explained that thanks to The Last of Us he finally saw himself represented in a videogame. "A burly, hairy, daddy bear character," he said.

Then he burst into tears:

And he got the job! YAY!

Moral to the story: be real, guys. You could end up rubbing shoulders with Nathan Drake:
