Once a week, the Tony Award-winning Hamilton takes a break from its online ticket lottery and gives fans outside of the theatre a chance to win.

That would be reason enough to stand in line, but people also get a short performance, labeled #Ham4Ham. Lin-Manuel Miranda introduced Wednesday's show with a touching speech about the Orlando shooting.

"We had a horrific tragedy on Sunday morning, and a lot of people are asking how they can help," Miranda said.

He said that he emailed Tom Viola, executive director of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, to find out how Hamilton fans could contribute to relief efforts.

Viola directed supporters to donate to the GoFundMe page Support Victims of Pulse Shooting.

"So please, do that...as soon as you put down your phones from filming this. Thank you," Miranda told the crowd.

He then introduced Andrea Burns of Broadway's On Your Feet! Miranda looked like he was trying to hold back tears during her chilling a cappella version of "What I Did For Love" from A Chorus Line.

To quote Miranda's speech from Sunday evening's Tony Awards, "love is love is love is love is love is love."
