Free a house elf every day this Christmas, with this Harry Potter advent calendar filled with socks.

Perfect for wrenching poor ol' Dobby from the Malfoys, Target's new festive calendar contains 12 pairs of Harry Potter themed socks — that's 24 freed house elves, people.

It's going for $15 in Target's online store, pretty decent for 12 pairs of socks. They feature design references to the Marauder's Map, quidditch and the Deathly Hallows.

Look at those socks, they're cuter than a niffler (nah, nothing is cuter than a niffler).

Want to be part of the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare (SPEW)? Place 'em inside an evil diary or just straight up hand them to every house elf you can find — like these Harry Potter fans did.

We love a strong countdown calendar idea, whatever the occasion, from this cheese calendar to our own Star Wars calendar — anything you can eat, wear or watch while you're waiting, really.
