Three new 'Harry Potter' ebooks are coming in September
J.K. Rowling might be done writing Harry Potter books (for now?), but fans of her wizarding world have some new ebooks to look forward to this fall.
The three short story collections will gather together the short-form tales already published on Pottermore. This allows those that don't read the site to catch up the continuing adventures of their favorite wizards and witches.
The ebooks are technically announced for the U.K. only at present, though there are product listings for each of them on the U.S. websites for major retailers, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Apple iBooks.

According to the official description, Short Stories from Hogwarts of Power, Politics and Pesky Poltergeists "give[s] you a glimpse into the darker side of the wizarding world, revealing the ruthless roots of Professor Umbridge, the lowdown on the Ministers for Magic and the history of the wizarding prison Azkaban."
There's also a short story about Horace Slughorn and his relationship with a young Tom Marvolo Riddle, the boy who would one day be known as Voldemort.
Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies looks at "two of the Harry Potter stories’ most courageous and iconic characters: Minerva McGonagall and Remus Lupin" as well as offering "a peek behind the closed curtains of Sybill Trelawney’s life."
Finally, Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide explores the titular wizarding school. The description says "you’ll venture into the Hogwarts grounds, become better acquainted with its more permanent residents, learn more about lessons and discover secrets of the castle."
All three ebooks are priced at $2.99 apiece. While everything they contain is technically free on the internet, the goal with the ebooks is to offer that material more widely.
All three will be released worldwide on Sept. 6, with availability in eight different languages: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish.
