Putin cuddling a pregnant Trump isn't the Valentine's Day image we need but it's the one we deserve
While there are infinite ways to celebrate Valentine's Day, Hater, the dating app that connects you with people who hate the same things, took an unusual route in celebrating love this year: by projecting a drawing of Vladimir Putin cuddling a pregnant Donald Trump.
That's not a typo; that's really the image it projected in several locations around New York City on Tuesday night.
The image was projected at three locations throughout NYC: N 6th and Wythe, 14th and 8th, and 15th and 9th. The projections also included Hater's logo, the upside-down heart, and its slogan, "#LoveThroughHate."
As for why the app decided to take this approach, Brendan Alper, CEO and Founder of Hater said it was all for the lulz: "There’s a lot of animosity out there, regardless of which side you’re on. We’re just trying to make people laugh. Through humor, hate can turn into love."

It's not the first time a disturbing romantic image of the pair has piqued our interest.
Artists in Lithuania painted a mural of Putin and Trump engaging in a passionate kiss while a billboard featuring Trump locking lips with Ted Cruz went up on a Cleveland billboard ahead of the 2016 GOP convention.
Sweet dreams.
