A dramatic video of a 33-year-old Indian mountain climber being rescued from a 200 to 300 foot deep crevice in the Himalayas is going viral. The one-a-half-hour rescue operation was carried out by Indian troops and fellow mountaineers in the middle of the night night at a height of 15,800 feet.

Jaishri Dumbre, who's been climbing for the last eight years, was part of a 35-member team which was on an expedition to scale a 18,600-foot high mountain called Draupadi Ka Danda-II in the hilly state of Uttarakhand. The 33-year-old mountaineer fell into the hidden crevice soon after leaving her camp to start the day's expedition with two other climbers at 1.30 a.m.

Fortunately, she got stuck in the middle of the crevice at a height of 30 feet due to the ice. Several team members tried to climb into the crevice to help her, but were unable to do so, even as Dumbre fainted. Finally, the rescue team managed to widen the opening by melting the ice by pouring hot water around it. Dumbre then regained consciousness and was pulled up through a rope.
