How to verify your Tinder profile with video selfies

If you've already verified yourself on Tinder, the app will ask you to update it.

Tinder is rolling out a new verification system using video selfies. According to its press release, the app will ask users to update to the latest version of Photo Verification using video.

Whether you've been on Tinder for years or are a new user, you may be wondering how to Photo Verify yourself on the app now. Here's a step-by-step guide.

1. Open Tinder, and tap the Explore icon

Explore is the icon of four squares at the bottom of the screen.

2. Tap 'Try now' in the Photo Verified module

Explore has several modules for you to choose from. Find Photo Verified.

3. Acknowledge the Photo Verification prompts

You'll be asked to wink at the camera, among other moves.

4. Take a video selfie

That's it! Once these steps are complete, Photo Verification will be under review. Once you're verified, you'll have a checkmark next to your name on Tinder. You'll join the 40 percent of users on the app who have verified profiles. Now, time to swipe.
